Peter Barrow has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years, first as the founder and principal of Barrow Communications, a marketing communications company that he sold successfully after 22 years; and now as President of Petrona Associates, a corporate training and marketing company he founded in 2000.
Among his professional activities, Peter:
- Taught marketing for the small business owner at the University of Guelph Open learning Office for 14 years
- Teaches more than 100 programs a year on all aspects of human communication, marketing and sales to companies across Canada
- Oversees a team of writers and designers to provide the full range of marketing and relationship building services to for-profit and not-for-profit clients in Ontario
- Won recognition from the Financial Post as one of Canada's 50 top small businesses
- Won a Silver Leaf Award for Corporate Communications for his work with one of Canada's leading brewing companies
- Developed a unique training program in Presentation Skills and Public Speaking which is taught all over Canada
Among his personal accomplishments, Peter:
- Is an Honorary Lifetime Member of Family and Children's Services, Guelph
- Chairs the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington
- Is a member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA-YWCA of Guelph
- Is a member of the Guelph Community Foundation and chairs its marketing committee
- Is a 3-time medal winner for top 75 finishers in the Toronto Marathon
Peter is married with two sons and a grandson and lives in Guelph, Ontario.
